 What to expect

Your initial naturopathic consultation entails:

  1. getting an understanding your health complaint
  2. reviewing any recent pathology results
  3. performing non-invasive tests or physical examinations
  4. determining your health goals
  5. discussing the kind of treatment/s that are realistic and achievable for you.

From there, we’ll create a step by step wellness plan to resolve your problem and lead toward optimising your health.

This plan could use a range of naturopathic medicines, such as food, nutritional supplements, herbal medicine, Lifestyle Medicine or other indicated remedy.

For chronic health problems, you may need to have three to six appointments, over a three to twelve month period to establish a real and sustainable shift in your health.

Naturopathic medicines

Sally manufactures her own herbal medicines using high quality, certified organically grown herbs. This means the herbal medicines are more effective, due to their higher quality. It also means, if a herbal medicine is right for your situation, you can take it home and start treatment immediately.

Nutritional supplements may be recommended. You can order these easily online to obtain practitioner grade products. Or, if they are available in your local health stores, Sally will let you know specifically what and where to purchase them.

Additional resources may be provided too, for example recipes, eating ideas, exercise resources or relaxation practices.

Naturopathic consultations with Australian leading naturopath

Sally Mathrick  – Bachelor Naturopathy, Bachelor Arts, Fellow Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Director on board of Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia

Sally’s consultation approach draws on traditional naturopathic tenets, evidence-based complementary, integrative medicine and

Lifestyle Medicine.

In practice since 2003 in medical centres, private practice and in health clinics alongside osteopaths, physiotherapists and psychologists, Sally regularly collaborates with other practitioners for effective, patient-centered care.

Sally practices as a naturopath alongside Recharge Health Clinic & Migraine Solutions in Clifton Hill (MELBOURNE) and provides ONLINE consultations. In addition to clinical practice, Sally teaches clinical skills at Laureate University’s Southern School of Natural Therapies. She is also undertaking her Honours degree, Bachelor of Medicines Management with Professional Honours in Complementary Medicine at University of Tasmania.

Naturopathic tenets – treating the whole person, removing any obstacles to cure, ameliorating the cause, supporting the innate vitality and healing capacity and drawing on effective natural medicines – will be used to support you to reclaim great health.

The focus is on your health not on the disease (that is, we treat the person, not the disease). However, naturopathy is effective in resolving a wide range of chronic health conditions, including fatigue, arthritis, depression and anxiety, gut and digestive problems, allergies, hormone imbalances, chronic immune issues, migraine and more.  Sally has practiced with people suffering more complex diseases including cancers, autoimmune and cardiovascular diseases. Women transitioning their mid life transition is currently a key focus in her practice.

Drawing on her health science training, practical experience and a thorough understanding your own wants and needs, Sally creates individual wellness plans to support your whole being back to health.
